Notes from the Lodge Administrator, May 2020

In the famous words of Forest Gump: ” Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get!”

I think I can speak for us all. We did not sign up for this. We have all been impacted by the stay at home order in our county. Even those that are retired find this over whelming.
While we all understand why we need to distance to stay safe and virus free, it’s still hard to believe its real.

I would like to explain as it pertains to our lodge. We are monitoring the San Mateo County Environmental Health website for any changes to the shelter in place and public gathering mandates. As soon as these orders are relaxed we will inform all members how we will safely proceed with re-opening our lodge. In the meantime all we can do is continue to follow guidelines and remain safe.

We are still meeting remotely as a board and discussing things we can do and be prepared for an immediate restart. I do check the lodge phone messages often. So, if there is anything you need please leave a message at 650-355-1540. I will call you back.

Our prelate Jere Morgan has been making calls to many members, asking if there’s anything we can do to help. Please make sure we have good phone numbers and addresses.

Please stay safe and protected. I hope we will be contacting you soon with good news regarding re-opening.

Thank you to all.

See you at the lodge!

Fraternally Yours
