From the Senior Regent, March 2021

Hello Co-Workers,

It’s almost springtime and my term as Senior Regent is coming to an end. It has been a unique and interesting year. Like most people’s plans for 2020—my WOTM Moose ones did not go as I had envisioned, but we continue to be a strong chapter with great volunteers and strong commitment to community service. I thank the rest of my Board for their support and help. Our fundraising and contributions to Mooseheart, Moosehaven and local community groups were the result of the work by our chairpersons: Gena Myers, Loretta Morgan, Nancy Sweet, Jeanette Travis Dancy and Angela Wills. I THANK YOU!

At the March 2nd meeting the Nominating Committee will read the final slate of co-workers nominated for the 2021-2022 Board of Officers election. Voting for the new Board will take place at the March 16th zoom meeting. Members may participate in these meetings by logging on at 7:00 PM to Zoom with Meeting ID 817 1668 3989 and password “Moose”. Installation date of the new officers will be announced in the next newsletter and on Facebook.

We become One Moose on May 1st. Time is running out to take advantage of becoming a lifetime member. If you obtain the lifetime membership before the end of March, the chapter will refund half of the cost back to you AND you will never have to pay chapter and lodge dues ever again! It is a great deal!

Bring your children or grandchildren to our April 3rd Bunny Drive-Thru. Our Easter bunny will give each registered child under 12 years an Easter basket surprise. Sign up to participate by phoning me at 650-452-4531 with names and ages of children.

Have you never volunteered at our chapter? Here’s your chance to help your chapter! Baked goods like cookies, etc. are needed to sell at the Thursday and Friday night drive-thru dinners. The items must be bagged: for example, put 2-3 cookies in a zip-lock sandwich bag. Anyone willing to donate should take their donations to the lodge on Thursdays between 4:30-5:00 PM. Money raised from this bake sale help support the chapter’s donations to community groups.

In Faith, Hope and Charity,

Sincerely
Peggy Ussery
Sr Regent 2020-2021
