Letter from the President, September 2022

To my Fellow Pacifica Moose Lodge Members,

This year is moving along fast and we have accomplished so much already. Campaigns for several charities and Moose programs have been very successful. Some of the most recent organizations to benefit from our efforts include Pacifica 4-H Club, Relay for Life/American Cancer Society, and Safe Surfing which teaches parents & kids to stay safe from online predators.

We also held great functions like the Pacifica Moose Car Show, Giants vs. A’s Bay Bridge Series watch party and a Nascar watch party to cheer on the #1 Moose Fraternity car driven by Moose member Ross “the Watermelon Man” Chastain. Mark your calendars: Sunday, October 30th, we’ll gather again as Ross drives #1 car in full Moose Fraternity colors.

The Social Quarters are filling up on the regular with family, friends & lots of new members (potential new friends). Please remember to call in your orders for Thursday & Friday night specials, it helps us get a count so we can shop accordingly. Become a volunteer, even if it’s just returning your drink glass to the bar. Remember it’s your Moose Lodge too, together we can accomplish anything. If you have a special skill or just want to help, we are always looking for volunteers.

There are many things in the works, that are not far from being realized. Some are a new entry system that uses Moose membership cards, website updates, new email/text notification system, a move to digital newsletters and events/trips for members to attend.

“The miracle is not that we do this work, but that we are happy to do it.”

Fraternally yours,
Tony Johnson
