Letter from the President, November 2022

To my Fellow Pacifica Moose Lodge Members,

Things have been going very well here at the Lodge.

I encourage every member to attend general membership meetings at 7pm on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. This is the best way to find out important lodge information. The lodge is working together to move forward and achieve our goals. Attending meetings might help you figure where you might be able to help. This could be your first step to being a part of our continued success.

Our lodge for all of its efforts has received the 5 Star Lodge Award 2021-2022 and the Premier Lodge Award 2021-2022 given by Moose International each year at convention. Our lodge along with many other lodges within California and District 10 attained these honors because members like you and your efforts to increase membership, efforts to support Mooseheart, Moosehaven, our local community and other requirements as outlined by Moose International. These achievements are something everyone should be extremely proud of!

Pacifica #1944 was also acknowledged by the California/Nevada Childhood Autism Program (CAP) for Outstanding performance and being #1 in contributions of this good and honorable cause. Pacifica, “the Machine” as program director Mitch Williams likes to call us, not only helped in spearheading fundraising efforts we raised more than $4500, more than any lodge in all of the CA/NV Moose Association. When April rolls around again let’s do our best to top this year’s amount.

We’ve heard many great ideas for events & fundraisers to help increase membership and provide our current membership with fun activities. Brothers & Sisters of the Moose this all takes volunteers, your board and core group of devoted volunteers can not do it alone. We need your help, so please help where you can…bartending, kitchen crew, cashier, party setup/take down, duty officer, cleaning/maintenance, etc. If you have a skill we’ll put it to use…any and all help is greatly appreciated.

“Lots of people can make an impression, but the MOOSE makes an impact…”

Happy Holidays to all, May you have a blessed season surrounded by family and friends.

Fraternally yours,
Tony Johnson
