Hello Brother Legionnaires and General Members,
We had a great time hosting our International Moose Legion President Daniel Gooch and his wife Debbie, also International Moose Legion Vice President Chuck Barbar and his lovely wife Patty, for our Prime Rib dinner. As always, we made a big impression on Daniel. On Saturday night at the Sunnyvale Moose lodge was the Golden Spot 15 Moose Legion Awards Banquet. Let’s give Robert Dickow a huge hand and congratulations for being Pacifica Moose Lodge 1944 Moose Legionnaire of the year. Well-deserved Dickow.
This month we start the new Moose Legion year May 1, 2023 – April 30, 2024. It’s always an exciting time to regroup and set a new agenda for the year. The goal is to have fun raising funds to support our community groups Mooseheart and Mooseheaven, plan events and build on our Lodge Moose Legion Membership. Moving forward, it would be nice to have a few more members helping at the lodge. 2023 looks like we can plan some fun events!
We have so many events planned so far that we can use help with, such as: Nascar, Cinco de Mayo, Mother’s Day, plus the fireworks booth, and many many more.
We invite our membership to join us as we pay tribute to our Pilgrim Rich Russatino on his retirement as administrator for the past 13 years of our lodge. Click here for more info.
We are hoping to get enough volunteers to share in the fun working on Thursday and Friday dinners and other events. This year’s fireworks booth rom the end of June through July 4th needs a lot of help. It’s our big fund raiser for the year, check in with Michelle. Share the wealth.
If you’re thinking of becoming a Moose legionnaire this is the time to take the next step in fraternalism. To join the Moose Legion all you must do now is fill out an application with dues of $20.00 and attend a Moose Legion Conferral.
Line dancing is on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays. Don’t forget about our monthly Moose Legion pancake breakfast, still the best deal in town. A Moose Legion meeting will follow the pancake breakfast.
