Letter from the President, May 2023

To my Fellow Pacifica Moose Lodge Members,

I am very honored to accept a 2nd term as President of Pacifica Moose Lodge 1944.

In the coming year I promise to always present myself in a manner befitting the Loyal Order of Moose, its members and its missions; to take pride in all I do for this great lodge, Pacifica and the surrounding communities.

Our amazing crew of volunteers is truly what makes Pacifica such a success. Cooks, bartenders, kitchen staff, duty officers, office work and lodge maintenance are all great ways to step up and volunteer. If you have any special talents, interests or skills that would benefit the lodge please let it be known.

Speaking of volunteers and great people, I would like to acknowledge someone. A member since 1980, Rich Russitano Sr. is a shining example of what it is to be a Moose, a mentor to us all and most importantly a great friend. With 40+ years as a member Rich has held various positions at lodge and district levels. From Trustee up through the ranks to Governor and in 2017 the honor of receiving the Pilgrim Degree. Thank you for saving the lodge and being our Administrator for the past 13 years. Your dedication and service are deeply appreciated, we intend to show respect and gratitude by keeping the lodge on the successful path you have set us on. It’s not going to be easy, but…together we can accomplish greatness.

“A burden heavy to one is borne lightly by many”

This year, our intention is to get back to pre-pandemic levels. Multiple functions and activities have returned to the calendar: Easter Brunch, Mother’s Day, Halloween and New Year’s Eve to name a few. The new board welcomes any suggestions or ideas for functions, fundraisers, ways to improve the lodge experience for all our members or to increase our support of Mooseheart and Moosehaven.

2023 Proud History, Bright Future

Fraternally yours,
Tony Johnson
