Notes from the Lodge Administrator, January 2024

Hello everyone!

First off, I’d like to wish you all a very Happy New Year!

We’ve been doing a lot around the lodge lately from having some great events to cleaning and just keeping up with everyday procedures and I want to thank all that have been helping with it.

Thanks to all of you, our members for coming out and participating with dinners and events. Participation is the key that keeps our lodge going.

We just had our annual Toy Drive, thanks to all who helped out in bringing in gifts, it was a huge success, I’d also like to give a big thank you to Travis Johnson and his crew for the huge donation of gifts they brought in, it was very appreciated.

By the time you are reading my letter we just had our first New Years Eve party since 2019, what a great time we all had, special thanks to Superbad the band for making this party one to remember. If you weren’t here you sure missed out.

We are looking forward to the up coming year, with a lot of events planned between the Women of the Moose and The Legion, first one of the year will be Bunco hosted by the WOTM, there is still time to sign up.

I also want to thank you for having the trust in me as administrator, I know I will have some big foot steps to fill but with all the help I am getting from our board and you, the members, I know we can do this, remember, this is our lodge and we need to do all we can to keep it running, so please if you would like to help around all you need to do is come in and just say: “How can I help?”. We are always in need of help with cleaning, cooking, setting up for events etc. and just everyday duties.

I will see you around the lodge.

Thank you to all the volunteers for all your hard work and dedication to keep our lodge strong.

That’s what being a Moose is all about.

Fraternally,
Tony Miranda

    1. Hello Shelli-

One of the best ways to either get information about upcoming events or to even advocate or propose events and functions is attending the Moose general membership meetings. They are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month at 7:00 pm. Check the calendar for upcoming meeting dates.
