To my brothers and coworkers-
I hope that you enjoyed the summer break. Summer will continue for a couple more
months so let’s enjoy it at the lodge together. Please keep in mind we can always use more volunteers in the upcoming events that we will be having. We need help in the kitchen, setting up, cleaning up, etc.
We had the District picnic in Santa Cruz on 8/18/18. Pacifica was well represented. All that attended had a good time and then some of us went to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk for more fun. We also a sleepover at the Moose Lodge for the kids on 81/17/18. We went on a night hike, made smores and watched a movie.
Events that we have coming up are:
Luau – September 8, 2018- Please make sure to sign up in the activities book.
October 6th – Pacifica District Social – Come out and show support for our lodge in attendance and have fun.
Reno California/Nevada Moose Conference – 9/14/-9/16. Everyone is welcome. Get your rooms now.
Chili Cook-Off – 10/21/18 – Come see me and let me know if you want to enter your chili. There will be flyers hung up at the lodge.
REMINDER: Please make sure to use the sign-up book for dinner and upcoming events. This really helps us with headcount for food. Please also make sure to put down the correct amountof people so we don’t waste food or turn people away that want-ed to sign up. There are certain dinners (prime rib night and big events) were we put a limit on how many people can sign up. If you sign up 10 and only 3 people show up, this is not fair to those that wanted to sign up. So please make sure people are committed and if they are not going to show up please let us know as soon as possible.
This year continues to be fun and filled with great learning experience for both myself and the lodge. Please continue to give us your feedback and suggestions.
